Web design has evolved significantly over the years, and I have been part of that journey—from the early days of basic HTML to today’s more advanced platforms. I now work primarily with WordPress as my platform of choice for building modern, scalable websites.

I have delivered websites for both local and national organisations, including government projects for fire and police services. My work includes creating detailed site maps, developing wireframes, and building fully content-managed websites.

Every site is designed with the utmost care and in line with current web standards, including, where required, compliance with AAA accessibility standards.

What began as a hobby, photography has grown into an important part of my professional portfolio. With over 30 years of experience, I have continuously developed and refined my skills.

I have been commissioned by a range of businesses and organisations to create high-quality imagery, and I specialise in portrait and reportage-style photography. My approach focuses on capturing authentic moments and telling compelling visual stories.

As an experienced designer, I have seen the design industry evolve continuously over the years. This has required staying up to date with new techniques, developing new skills, and adapting to emerging software — all of which help maintain a highly professional and efficient workflow.

AI has had a significant impact on the creative industries. Many design platforms now integrate AI into their workflows, and as designers, we can use these tools to support problem-solving and improve efficiency — for example, by streamlining tasks in applications such as Photoshop.

I have experience working with a range of AI tools to enhance my workflow. However, I do not rely on AI to produce final designs, as this can often result in work that feels generic and lacks clear direction. I believe strong, effective design still requires human insight, creativity, and strategic thinking.
